No pneumatics here! All motion on the SD-55 is servo driven. This means precise motion control with the flexibility to easily make product/pack pattern changes when the need arises. Whether it is simply a standard bag size change using pre-programmed recipes or a new product the SD-55 has the ability to adapt to your needs.

The SD-55 Case Packer is designed to pack pillow pack bags into RSC, or other cases at rates up to (80) 1lb bags per minute*. The SD-55 comes standard as a transverse case feed machine, whereby the cases/cartons are introduced perpendicular to the flow of bagged product. Optionally, the SD-55i offers a case/carton flow path inline with the flow of the bagged product infeed. This option can save considerable space on the plant floor.

The SD-55 is an extremely rugged machine with lean design and manufacturing practices at its core! This allows us to offer a very affordable solution.

To survive the environment in your plant the SD55 frame is constructed of stainless steel, the enclosures feature sloped tops to shed moisture away from costly electrical gear. At roughly 5 feet square the SD55 has one of the smallest footprints in the industry.

Impax Automation offers turnkey case packing systems complete with case/carton indexing conveyors to automatically feed empty cases/cartons into the SD-55 case packer. These systems are plug and play with the SD-55 case packers for ease of integration and to reduce the cost of control hardware. Our case/carton handling systems can fit within the width of the SD-55 case packers to allow for maximum accessibilty by plant personnel.
